Summary of our trance group’s demonstration on Thursday 4th December at Touch Community centre Dunfermline at 7pm. This event was not advertised other than in our divine service and our web site and admission was free with a free will collection at the end so the rules for the CPA did not apply

We started on time with 20 odd people attending with four regulars’ from our church and three visitors from another group, the rest being from our development groups.

We sat in what can be described as subdued light due to the hall being decked out by the Christmas decorations hindering our attempts to black out the hall completely. We did manage to black out the hall enough for our purpose as in the main we were using red-light to illuminate the sitters in the cabinet.

I gave a little talk to the patrons about what could happen and what was expected of them in the way they should conduct themselves especially in the dark.

Kerry one our groups Tutors opened in prayer before Debbie one of our working platform mediums and approved healer was first to sit in the cabinet. I was sitting to one side operating the red lamp and Hazel one of our healing group leaders sat at the other.

The light was turned off and the patron sung some cheery hymns and songs and when the red light was switched on every one saw Debbie was overshadowed by a man who looked like an American Indian complete with stubble on his face. There were many face changes however none of the sitters could link to them except one who was given her daughters name by the sitter. There was a link and a lady was trying to build up however the patron had never been to an event like this before and simply was overwhelmed so the contact moved on. Debbie had sat for around 15 minutes and before the next sitter we had a little round robin to the benefit of everyone including Debbie..

June one of our group members was next to sit June sits for psychic art although she is not an artist herself and cannot draw. The red light was turned off and the patrons sung with gusto once again and when the light was put on there were gasps as everyone could see an oriental gentle man in the cabinet He picked up the sketchbook and drew on it for only 20 seconds with great speed, throughout this time the physical eyes were closed tight. When he replaced the board he had a bit of a banter with the patrons and answered a few queries and I should say it was with a bit of humour. June also had sat for the allotted time and when she returned to us a lively debate ensued for a few minutes. The picture was examined briefly which seemed to be an abstract art not like her usual portraits of people. At the end of the evening the patrons looked at it further and could read a lot in to it commenting on the speed it had been done.

Jean another one of our platform mediums was next to sit and the patrons sang with relish once more. A favourite of ours is the French child’s nursery rhyme

Frere Jacques which we do in rounds which has an amazing effect a bit like the talking drums or Tibetan bowls. When the red light came on a gentleman who had lost a lot of weight or was emancipated could be seen a lot of people may have been able to take him however a firm link was not established and the contact moved on. A lady then appeared and made contact with one of the patrons for a time the moved of when the patron was at a loss for words. We tried to encourage as much as we could to help pull the contacts through however it is the patrons they want to contact not us After Jean returned to us a lively debate took place with the clairvoyants who were there describing Jeans guide ( a beautiful gentle little nun ) to her who Jean already knows about and it is nice to hear others describe her. People say clairvoyance has no place in trance and physical and I dispute that saying it depends what context it is given and it helps greatly in the grand scheme of things.
Liz my sister was next to sit and I explained to patrons that Liz sits for physical in complete darkness or very low red light and the hall was not really suitable with the way it was blacked out however she would sit. The patrons were really getting the hang of it now and sang the lords my shepherd absolutely beautifully and within minutes taps and raps could be heard. I asked if someone could snap their fingers and all the patrons responded causing immense glee. I asked Jean to click her fingers and the contacts responded with knocks to her although Jean did not know it they were Masonic knocks. If we had more time I am sure the contact would have tapped out messages using the knocks for the alphabet. A lot of the patrons felt touches, hair being pulled and the closeness of their loved ones to them. The red light was switched on and everyone again gasped as the could see a Buddha/Monk sitting there. He did not interact with us although his lips seemed to be moving.

The red light was extinguished and we sat for a little while just to be with spirit during this time the patrons could see the outline of the sitter by the energy and light given off. I should say this was evident when all the sitters were in the cabinet. Liz returned to us and we had the usual feedback

Derek who had been operating the main light and was the usher for the evening sat in the cabinet. Derek is a member of our groups as well as being involved with the body and soul movement and is an exponent of many therapies as well as being one of our healing mediums. We again at in the dark and the patrons who really rising to the occasion sang in good voice. When the red light was switched on we could see Derek appeared like an old man who almost immediately sprung to his feet and started conducting like a band leader would do. Almost at once the patrons started to hum the tune the blue Danube to every ones delight including the communicator. Derek was returned to us and we had a little discussion again.

That brought us to the end of our official group evening which had started exactly at 7pm and finished bang on time at 8 30pm and every-one remarked it seemed to go by in a flash

I thanked ever-one who took part and any-one could leave if they so wished if they had prior engagements. If they chose to remain then we would have a 10 minute comfort break and I would sit for around the same time as the others had and expected to finish around 9 pm. Every-one remained and only two left their seats.

I sat in the cabinet with Debbie operating the red light and with Jean sitting at the other side this allowed Hazel who had done a sterling job all evening to sit amongst the patrons. The red light was put out and the patrons sung their hearts out. My mentor and friend spoke though me using my vocal chords in his posh English voice with the odd Scott’s word thrown in which seems to please him. He asked Deborah to switch on the red light and people saw the face changing especially one ear. He then asked one of the Edinburgh group to come up close and see the changes. The young lady was enthralled by what she saw ., then she was asked to place a finger on his brow energy centre which she did almost immediately it was lit up by power and it began to disappear into the head. When she felt she should withdraw she was asked to smell the etheric liquid upon it the lady said it smelled like a new born child Peter likened it to the smell of new mown hay.

The light was put out and when it was switched on again an earthy mans voice was heard complaining nothing about himself matched. The two hands were a mans on one and a lady’s on the other. The ears were the same one was a boxers cauliflower ear the other was that of a child. Every-one was in stitches and it seems that was the purpose of the exercise. He moved on and Peter asked for the light to be put out then in the darkness the communicator was a man we only know as the Prof and he can be recognised by his soft yet powerful voice explaining that he worked in the more deeper séance conditions then after a few more words of wisdom left. Peter said he was going to stand up and turn around with his back to the viewers and asked Deborah to hold up the red light to illuminate the back of the head. There were gasps when a baby boys head appeared and the mother who claimed him was asked to come forwards which she did. Peter asked to put her little finger in the child’s mouth which she did and then she was almost overwhelmed with tears of joy at that point I can only assume there was not a dry eye in the house. That brought the evening to an end at bang on 9pm.

This is a summary of the evening private and personal messeges intended for the patrons and the sitters have been omitted.

We had this event for mainly two reasons the first being to allay the publics fears brought about by some of the media about what happens at such an event as this.

The public felt and saw there was nothing to fear and a medium in trance or an altered state is akin to some-one having a pleasant afternoon nap and in my sisters case sound asleep.

The second reason it was to allow our sitters and their inspirers to sit in different surroundings with varied people instead of the comfort of our séance room

This time our budding trance/physical mediums sat for only a short time on the next occasion which will be before my trance workshop in Feb only two will sit and eventually with their inspirers help each one will be able to do an evening entirely.
